J's Heavenly Yorkies At Sunrise

My web page would not be complete without adding
the "Heavenly" Yorkies that are
waiting for me
at Rainbow Bridge. They were heavenly Yorkies,
and they added so much pleasure and love to my

gone but not forgotten,
and they remain close

"Just
this side of Heaven is a place called
Rainbow
Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone
here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and
hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play
together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and
our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had
been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who
were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left
behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one
suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are
intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away
from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying
him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and
your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous
reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon
your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you
look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone
from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......."

Four
Feet In Heaven
Your
favorite chair is vacant now,
No eager barks to greet me.
No softly padded paws to run,
Ecstatically to meet me.
No coaxing rubs, no yipping cry,
Will say it's time for feeding.
I've put away your bowl and all
The things you won't be needing.
But I will miss you, little friend,
For I could never measure,
The happiness you brought to me,
The comfort and the pleasure.
And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow.
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow.

A
Dog's Prayer

If it should be I grow
frail and weak
And pain prevents my peaceful sleep,
Then you must do what must be done
When this last battle cant be won.
You
will be sad, I understand.
Selfishness might stay your hand.
But on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship take the test.
We've
had so many happy years
That what's to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer. So,
When the time comes, please let me go.
