Simba's Diary Of A

"Simba"
This
is me as a baby. Wasn't I cute! The minute my Mom saw
me, she fell in love and had to have me. I immediately fell
in love with her too. She is so cool for a Mom. She
gives me everything I want, and she makes me feel really special.
She told me about being a champion. Wow, if I could be a champion,
I could have my pick of the ladies! I think I was meant to
be a "Ladies Man". Yeah, that works for me.
Me
Relaxing after realizing that I could really be a champion. I was
so overwhelmed that I had to relax for a while. I don't know why
they had to go and wake me up to take this picture! I could
barely hold my eyes open. What a way to treat the "Crown
Prince".
That's
me in the back with my brother, Tulsa, in the front. Tulsa
is also a champion and quite the looker, but I think that I'm more
of a "Ladies Man" . Don't tell him I said that, he
might try to beat me up! Actually, Tulsa
was a champion before I was, as I got my coat messed up so bad I
had to take time out. I started as a puppy and
finished in eight shows as "The Man"!
My
very first win at Buckhorn Valley with my very own Mom
handling me! It was my first show and her first
show! I can't believe how many mistakes we made and still
won. I guess quality shows. I don't know what happened, but
I just bloomed after this show and could not seem to stop
winning. I think it was because I knew how much my Mommie
loved me, and I just had to make her proud of me because I
loved her too.
My
Win at Cheyenne with Linda Hart handling me! Linda is a well
known Silkie owner. Silkies are "want to be"
Yorkies! I had a lot more fun with my Mom showing me.
Everyone had a good laugh at us, but no one laughed when Linda
showed me. Everyone was so serious! You know, a stud like
myself just wants to have fun. What the heck is she doing with my
tail? I'm trying to wag it for my mom!
My
Major Win at Rapid City with Al Fitterer handling me. Now
this is more like it! Al's the Man! You know we men
have to stick together, and he knows what this show thing is all
about. I can't
believe I won a 5 point major with no coat, and I had lost
weight because I missed my Mom so much I couldn't eat. I
just wanted to go home. I guess I was just plain homesick. A lot of people were mad at me that day for winning.
I can't help it if I'm irresistible! After this show my Mom
wouldn't let me show for nine months until I grew my coat back
. She fed me like a king, and I gained some weight back too. After that I pulled two more
majors. Boy, do I love my Mom.
My
"comeback"Win at Grand Valley with Al Fitterer handling me. Al is such a good
handler. He's as good as they come. He is so full of energy
that you don't know whether to watch him or me in the ring.
We both move like a dream. Maybe I should be a little jealous of
him stealing my thunder. Naaaaww. At last I am back, Al's
showing me, and he makes me look good. We are "The A
Team". I 'm a happy camper. I think I'm on a roll.
Wow,
my second Major Win at Rapid City with Al Fitterer handling
me! This
guy really knows how to make me look good for the judges. We won
everything! Boy, my Mom's going to be so proud of me. "The A
Team" strikes again!
My
Championship Win with Al again!
Yeaaaaa!
I did it! I'm a Champion! I could hardly wait to get back home and
into a puppy cut so I could run and play with the rest of my
buddies knowing that I am a Champion. Al put 13 points on me
in four shows. That plus the point my Mom put on me and the point
that Linda Hart put on me made me a champion. I even won
Best of Breed over specials. I was really strutting my stuff
in the ring. Finally, I am the "Ladies Man", and
even the guys respect me now.
Wow!
Look
at what AKC sent me!
I've
got to get Mom to frame it for me. Boy, is she proud of me! She
will probably even give me some extra treats for this!
The others at home will really be jealous of me! Maybe I'll
make them all call me "Champ". Yes, sir, now
I am "The Man"!
